Government Institute for Training of Trainers (GITOT) has been established by Skill Development and Industrial training Department., Haryana at Rohtak. The Institute is duly approved and affiliated by Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. The Institute has been established with the aim to provide opportunities for the development of basic instructional skills and not only to create but manage an ideal training environment. In the very first phase of training, institute has started CTI course under Craft Instructor Training Scheme of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India from August 2015.

Broad infrastructure, network and talented team of Training Officers make GITOT, Rohtak an ideal place for training. The content of the courses is taught by organizing lectures, seminars, providing resource material for learning through libraries, workshops and Audio Visual laboratories, organizing their visits to various concerned organizations and functionaries for live demonstrations, assigning project work etc. Training Officers at GITOT, Rohtak are those trainers who have the competency and responsibility to work as developers, maintainers, innovators and networkers.

Basically training is nothing but an instrument to help the institute/organization to meet the twin challenges of continuous improvement and demands of change. It is therefore essential that it is delivered effectively. Thus, it is necessary to recognize the change in the role of the training from being provider to a facilitator. Success of training also depends on the ability of trainers to design and deliver effective and imaginative training for the trainees to enable them to improve their performance. The institute targets the individuals who as part of their duties have some training functions and responsibilities, individuals who wish to review their instructional skills and individuals who undertake training duties.

We emphasize the need to identify our highest priorities on which the institute is regularly working. Our preference is to follow the path that travels all the way through better training aids, better facilities but at the same time rigorous and hard trainings.
